3 rd International Short Film Contest and Festival with the Theme of
“Migration and Inter-Cultural Dialog”
JCI-Junior Chamber International:
JCI is a social leadership association and a non-profit organization, adopted as sibling association by international associations such as Council of Europe, Euro Chambers and the United Nations. JCI-Junior Chamber International was established in 1915, by a group of young people, with the name of Young Men's Progressive Civic Association, for the aim of not only for contributing to personal and professional development but also for taking responsibility of some of the social problems.
NNYCR Istanbul Crossroads:
Is a short film contest and festival, the aim of which is to draw attention on migration and cultural dialog in the world, thus to create global awareness. This festival has been arranged by “International Young Leaders and Initiatives Federation – JCI” Istanbul Chapter, which is an organization under the umbrella of “Junior Chamber International”. NNYCR Istanbul Crossroads Film Festival and Contest, the third of which is arranged this year, has been influenced by the New York Crossroads Film Festival organized by JCI - USA.
 2008 NNYCR Film Contest and Festival:

The applications for the participation in 2008 NNYCR Film Festival and Contest has already been started. Those who want to participate with their short films having the theme of “Migration and Cultural Dialog” shall send their copy of films in the declared format along with the application form in our web site to the declared address till 20 October 2008, at the latest. The nominated films, selected by the distinguished jury, will be honored on the Gala night, planned to be organized at November or December, this year. The veterans of the short films to be nominated will be honored with the following awards by our main sponsor Digital Film Academy - www.digitalfilmacademy.com.tr.  In addition, the awarded films will be released in various schools and universities both domestically and internationally.

The veterans of the films to be nominated will be honored with the following gift vouchers to be used within the organization by our main sponsor Digital Film Academy.
1. First             4000 YTL gift voucher
2. Second         2000 YTL gift voucher     
3. Third             1000 YTL gift voucher    

The Jury of the Festival consists of distinguished people, academics or members, who will contribute to the prestige to the films to be nominated and also who are experts on either cinema or migration.
The jury formation for the current year has not been completed yet. The jury will be announced in our web site (www.jcistanbulcrossroads.com) after the completion of all confirmations.
